A full day in the yard

This past Saturday, Brandon, Emma Grace, Noah and I spent the day working in the yard. We mulched, cut back bushes, planted flowers, mowed the lawn and killed weeds. It was definitely an all day affair and took all four of us to complete the job. After all our hard work we wrapped the day up with a quick trip to the pool, a long hot shower or bath and then we all crashed at about 7:30pm. It was really a lot of fun and we enjoyed every minute of it!
Noah liked spreading the mulch (mostly all over himself).
Like I said, a full day of yard work.
Plenty of helping, yet fashionable, hands!

Flashback Friday: Sun Dancers

Alright everyone, I went way back into the vault for this one in honor of my blogging friend Lori. She posted her high school band picture a few weeks back and I didn't want her to feel lonely. This was my junior year in high school. I was on our schools dance team, The Westwood Highschool Sun Dancers. What about that burnt orange? My Aggie pride cringes every time I look at this. Don't even get me started on that hair. For all of you that wonder where Emma Grace gets her curls, look at that frizzy mess. I had attempted to straighten it but the humidity was not helping.Did you notice the white felt cowboy hat with sequence? Yes, we did wear that and yes, I could kick it off of my head.

Mac and Della's wedding in Vegas, Part 2

Just a few more pictures of the wedding. The ceremony was in the chapel at the MGM Grand. It was beautiful and the bride and groom were very excited. It was a wonderful day!

The lovely couple!

All of Mac's kids stood up in support for their Dad. It was awesome!

Emma Grace's Preschool End of the Year Program

Last Friday was Emma Grace's last day of preschool. She was so excited and kept asking me if she was now five and could she please go to kindergarten on Monday. After a long discussion about our birthday and summer vacation, Emma Grace finally accepted that she was not five yet but would be starting kindergarten very soon (hope I never have to explain that again). Anyway, it was a great day and Emma Grace sang her heart out while I cried my eyes out.

She absolutely loves to be on stage.
Afterwards we went out for a celebration lunch at Meridees! It was fantastic.

Neighbors!

We have the best neighbors ever! God has truly blessed us with the most amazing people around us in our neighborhood. As some of you already know, last Friday one of our neighbors went into the hospital with some very serious problems. However, today I am am very excited to say that he is home and doing very well. GOD IS SO GOOD. We had so many people praying for this extraordinary man and He has heard our cries and answered them. Please continue to pray because there are still some major hurdles for him to overcome but I know that God is holding his hand the entire time. Thanks!!!!!

A little fun at the Lake

As we were driving home from Texas a week ago, we stopped in Oklahoma at Brandon's cousin's lake house. The kids had so much fun and it was a wonderful way to break up a really long drive. Thank you Mick and Shelley for your hospitality and for welcoming us into your beautiful new home! We had a blast!!!!!

Emma Grace drove the boat most of the time!
The life jackets were not Emma Grace and Noah's favorite part.
4 wheelers and a boat, what else could you ask for!

Mac and Della's wedding in Vegas, Part 1

We recently traveled to Las Vegas to attend and celebrate the wedding of my father-n-law and his very sweet bride Della! It was an amazing time. All of Brandon's siblings (without any children in tow) attended along with Della's kids. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to get back together with everyone very soon!

Has it really been a month?

I am so sorry for the disappearance but we have had a roller coaster of a month. We have been in six different states, most by car but one by plane. It was a month of extremely wonderful moments (Mac and Della's wedding, seeing lots of family, Houston) and extremely sad moments (MD's funeral), but overall it was an amazing time and I look forward to sharing some of the highlights in the days to come!!!!
