Yeah, Fall is Here

The other night, I hosted an event for our churches Women's Ministry at my house. I love hosting parties so it was an easy way that I could help out. As we were getting everything set up and looking nice, my sweet friend Tracy presented me with the most adorable painted pumpkins as a thank you gift. I was blown away and absolutely delighted to have such a perfect fall decoration. She did not have to do that but I am so glad that she did. They look amazing on my front porch! Thank you Tracy, Cindy and Susan for such a lovely gesture!
They are made out of painted window screens.

We've got Spirit, How about you?

Today was Spirit day and by far Emma Grace's favorite theme!! She was so excited about showing off her school pride and celebrating her spirit. Who knows, maybe she will follow in her Nana's footsteps and be a cheerleader!

Noah loved the paw print on her check. He kept pointing at it and saying.."A clue, a clue. Emma Grace has a clue on her face!" (He obviously watches way too much Blues Clues."

Funky Feet Day

Today was Funky Feet Day at Emma Grace's school. We were still very nervous about not matching. She tried to wear two different shoes, but in the end she just couldn't go against her fashion conscious. We finally decided to tattoo her feet with markers. She was so excited. There were only two requirements...1. she wanted crosses on her ankles so everyone would know that she loved Jesus and 2. she wanted my initials so I could be with her all day.
Thank you Lord for this little girls amazing heart and love for you!!!!!
She specifically asked for black toenails.

Crazy Day

Today at Emma Grace's school they had Crazy Day to celebrate Spirit Week. I told Emma Grace that she could wear anything she wanted as long as she was super CRAZY! Well, my fashion conscious daughter did not understand this concept and could only go so far. She finally settled on a crazy dress, leggings, gold shoes and three pony tails. She is definitely on her way to being a fashion Diva!

Paying Tribute to Our Marriages!

Last weekend our small group decided to have an anniversary party to pay tribute to all of our marriages. We went out to Arrington Vineyards for a potluck picnic, live music, cake and fellowship. It was amazing!!!! If you live in the Nashville area you need to go! It was like being on vacation right here in middle Tennessee!

Eight Amazing Years!

Today, Brandon and I are celebrating our eight year anniversary! I cannot tell you how blessed I feel to be married to this amazing man! He is more than I could have ever dreamed of and I am blown away that God chose him for me. These past eight years have been wonderful, crazy, happy, sad, scary, eventful and most of all blessed. I remember when we were going through our marriage prep classes they told us to always look at our marriage as a cord of three strands (one for Brandon, one for me and one for God). That has been our number one priority since September 3, 2000. It didn't make everything sunshine and roses but it definitely kept us focused on Christ in all situations, which in turn made our marriage stronger.
One of my friends wrote a post today on her blog about marriages and she asked "Is your marriage worth fighting for?" My answer is ABSOLUTELY without a doubt.
"Our love should not be just words and talk; it must be true love, which shows itself in action." 1 John 3:18
I love you Brandon!
Thank you for eight amazing years.
